Take a day off and visit two of Cebus nearby islands: Nalusuan with its sandbanks and Hilutungan a marine sanctuary. Bring out your best swimsuit for a day in the sun! Travel by local outrigger boat from Mactan Island to one of the smaller islands of Cebu - Nalusuan Island. Here you can bask in the sun and splash around the islands shallow sandbanks. If relaxation is more your style, enjoy a nap to the sound of waves lapping the shores as the sea breeze cools you down.
Later, enjoy a picnic lunch of grilled seafood and barbecued items. Right after lunch, we will depart for the next island - Hilutungan. This protected marine sanctuary offers the chance to snorkel among its corals and rich marine life. Return to Mactan Island by outrigger boat in the mid-afternoon.

Discovery the Twin Cities of the Philippines - Cebu with its rich history and Mactan with its beaches and homegrown culture. Our tour begins with a visit to Cebus historic shrines. First, visit the Basilica Minore de Sto. Nino, originally built in 1565 and rebuilt between 1735 and 1737 after a fire razed the old structure. It houses the most famous Christian relics in the Philippines as well as Cebus Patron Saint - the Sto. Nino (Infant Jesus). Right outside is Magellans Cross whose beautifully painted chapel ceiling depicts a scene from Magellans landing in Cebu in 1521 as well as the planting of the original cross which marked the conversion of pagan Philippines to Christianity. Other stops around Cebu City include Fort San Pedro, a quaint Spanish stone fort built to protect the city against sea invasion the Casa Gorordo Museum with its Spanish-era household furniture and crafts and the Taoist Temple in Beverly Hills which has an astounding view of Cebu City. On our way to Mactan we will cross one of the two bridges that span the strait, separating Mactan Island from the province of Cebu. One of the stops in Mactan is the Lapu-lapu Monument, commemorating the countrys first hero, who fought against Magellans men in battle that ended the explorers life. Surrounding the shrine area are stalls selling shellware and other local handricrafts. Finally, we will visit one of Mactans guitar factories. Here you will be shown the steps in the creation of Cebus local guitars as well as other versions of this versatile stringed instrument. INCLUSIONS
